Calvin Miller has suggested to The Daily Record that he hopes to play for Celtic again in the future.

Miller has been released by Celtic, as the 22-year-old himself announced on Twitter last week.

The Glasgow giants have decided not to renew the contract of the youngster – who can operate as a full-back or as a winger – and he is becoming a free agent.

The Scotsman has suggested that he hopes to return to Celtic in the future.

Miller told The Daily Record: “It was hard but it’s only the start of my career. Look what Andy (Robertson) has done since he left Celtic.

“You hope something like that will happen. I am positive and who knows maybe I might end back at Celtic again one day?

“I know this disappointment is now all about how I react to do things better and become a better player. Sometimes it is down to luck and getting your chance.”

Back to Celtic?

Miller is a good and promising young player who will do well at another club in the Scottish Premiership if he gets regular playing time in the first team.

The 22-year-old, who had loan spells at Dundee and Ayr United in recent years, did well in the matches he played for the Celtic senior side, and perhaps in the next three or four years, if he does well for another club, then the Bhoys could try to sign him.

Jeff Hendrick competition

Meanwhile, Celtic are reportedly facing competition from AC Milan for Jeff Hendrick.

According to Sky Sports, AC Milan are interested in the 28-year-old Republic of Ireland International, who is out of contract at Burnley this summer.

TEAMtalk had earlier claimed that Celtic and Newcastle are interested in Hendrick.
