Takumi Minamino leaving Liverpool has been very much on the cards in recent weeks.
Fulham are now reportedly in the race to sign the 27-year-old Japan international, who is heavily linked with a transfer to Leeds United.
According to Liverpool.com, the Reds’ hierarchy expect interest in the former Red Bull Salzburg attacker, labelled ‘outstanding‘ by Jurgen Klopp earlier this year.
But it isn’t a one-sided thing because, according to Fabrizio Romano, Minamino himself is desperate to leave Anfield.
Writing on Caught Offside, Romano claimed that the attacker is ‘ready to leave’ Klopp’s side this summer and although Inter Milan are linked, a transfer to Leeds is a ‘more likely bet’.
He wrote: “The player is ready to leave Liverpool because Jurgen Klopp will have other priorities in that position, as explained above with the interest in Nunez and Danjuma. Inter Milan have shown no interest despite the rumours doing the rounds. Nothing is decided yet, but Leeds looks a more likely bet, as mentioned above.”

Well yes it certainly seems to be a matter of time before the forward – who joined Klopp’s squad in December 2019 – departs Merseyside.
And this Romano update about Leeds being a more probable destination should buoy the Elland Road outfit in a massive way.
The Whites have already signed two players this summer and adding a third in the form of Minamino would be an excellent way in which to maintain that momentum.
