Adam Lallana has posted an emotional message to Liverpool on Instagram, as he prepares to leave the Merseyside outfit.
Lallana is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, and the England international midfielder will become a become agent.
The 32-year-old joined the Reds from Southampton back in the summer of 2014.
Although the midfielder was an important player in the team initially, injury problems and strong competition in the middle of the park saw him reduced to a fringe player in recent years.
According to WhoScored, Lallana has played 374 minutes in the Premier League this season, and played 104 minutes in the league and 465 minutes in the Champions League for Jurgen Klopp’s side during the 2018-19 campaign.
Lallana has posted an emotional message to Liverpool on Instagram, and his Liverpool teammates Jordan Henderson and Adrian have responded.
Henderson responded: “What a man. It’s hard to see you go and you will be sorely missed.”
Adrian responded: “I will miss you amigo mío 😘 My dressing room neighbor…All the very best in your next chapter for you & your lovely family #MoreThanTeammates.”
Good enough for a Premier League club
When Lallana is fully fit and in form, he is a very good player, and one suspects that with his wealth of experience, he will find a top club in the Premier League this summer.
