Ryan Gravenberch is reportedly ready to move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool or Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Bild journalist Christian Falk has written in the Daily Briefing that Liverpool and Manchester United want to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.

Falk has reported that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants to bring Gravenberch to Anfield.

However, it may not be that easy for the Merseyside club to sign the Netherlands international.

Ryan Gravenberch open to joining Liverpool or Manchester United

According to Falk, Gravenberch is open to a move to Liverpool or to a transfer to Manchester United.

The 21-year-old wants to join a club where he would play regularly.

Gravenberch moved to Bayern in the summer of 2022.

And he really struggled for playing time at the Allianz Arena.

The midfielder made three starts and 21 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga and made two starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for the Bavarian giants last season.

Falk wrote, as relayed by TBR: “I know for sure that Jurgen Klopp is very, very interested in Ryan Gravenberch, and now the situation has changed.

“Gravenberch has permission from Thomas Tuchel to leave Bayern Munich because Tuchel’s idea is that, if they sell him (and Liverpool have signalled that they could pay £20m), Tuchel would get funds perhaps to fund a new No.6. The board had said no to his request, but if there’s money coming in from the potential sale of Gravenberch, he could try to get a holding midfielder for the squad.

“I think Gravenberch is open to both clubs, Liverpool and Manchester United. He’s very interested in the Premier League. He will choose the club that shows him he’ll get playing time.

“I think Klopp is a very good guy to pursue people, so, at the moment, I would see Liverpool being at the front in this race. For Gravenberch, he wouldn’t necessarily mind which club it is. He wants to leave.”

Gravenberch clearly wants to play week in and week out, which means that Liverpool and Manchester United have to work really hard to convince him to move to Anfield or Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old will move to a club where he would be able to play week in and week out, and it will be interesting to see whether Liverpool or United would be able to convince him.

Like Bayern, Liverpool and United are massive clubs and are global brands.
