According to L’Equipe, Lyon will sell Houssem Aouar in the summer transfer window, with Liverpool and Manchester City reportedly interested in the midfielder.

It has been reported by the French publication that Lyon value Aouar at €50 million (£43.66 million).

The report has claimed that defending Premier League champions City are closely following the 21-year-old, and that manager Pep Guardiola admires the France Under-21 international.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool have been following Aouar closely for the past three years and want to sign him in the summer transfer window.

Stats

Aouar made 23 starts and two substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in the process according to WhoScored.

The youngster also scored one goal and provided three assists in five Champions League matches for the French club this campaign, according to WhoScored.

Football in England is suspended at the moment, while Ligue 1 has been called off due to the global health crisis, and it remains to be seen when the summer transfer window opens and whether clubs spend big on players.
