Sadio Mane’s spell in Germany could be set to come to an end if reports are to be believed, with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, reported to be interested in the former Liverpool forward.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Sadio Mane‘s agent, Bjorn Bezemer from ROOF agency, will travel to Japan this week to continue talks with the Saudi Arabian side and those discussions are set to become more concrete.

Mane has struggled in the Bundesliga since his transfer from Liverpool last summer for a reported fee of £35 million, according to Sky Sports.

The 31-year-old scored seven times for Bayern in the league and added a further five goals in all competitions last season.

These numbers are a far cry from Mane’s pomp when he was playing alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino at Anfield.

Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane could end up in Saudi Arabia

The report from Romano also claims that the winger has given the green light for the move to take place, despite Mane only spending one year at Bavaria.

Bayern completed the signing of the midfielder for a fee in the region of £35 million and according to a report from James Benge last week, Al Nassr could be ready to offer £34 million for the winger to make the move.

if Bayern were to break even or make a small loss on the Senegalese winger then Thomas Tuchel may look at that as a success.

With the German champions reportedly interested in Tottenham’s Harry Kane, with offers being made at around £70 million, according to The Athletic, this may open up an avenue for Bayern.

The money they could potentially receive for Mane may well go towards the purchase of the prolific English striker.

For Mane, a move to Saudi Arabia represents yet another star from Europe making the move to the Middle East towards the back end of their career.

Mane has had a glittering career, winning the Premier League, Bundesliga, and the UEFA Champions League back in 2019. This potential move may well be the last of his career.
