Reiss Nelson has signed a new contract with Arsenal, and it has impressed Gunners legend Ian Wright as well as Yunus Musah, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have announced that Reiss Nelson has put pen to paper on a new contract.

The 23-year-old winger has signed a new long-term deal and committed his future to the Gunners.

The Englishman was out of contract at Arsenal at the end of last month.

However, Arsenal and Nelson were in talks over a new deal, and now both parties have come to an agreement.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is very pleased, as you can see from his Instagram post below, and it seems that Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah is too.

As we have posted below, Musah has ‘liked’ the announcement from Arsenal about a new deal for Nelson.

Musah was on the books of Arsenal from 2012 from 2019 and played with Nelson in the youth teams.

The 20-year-old USA international is now playing for Valencia and has been linked with a move back to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

In April 2023, 90min reported interest from Arsenal in bringing the youngster back.

The report claimed that Arsenal, as well as Liverpool, scouted Musah in action for Valencia against Real Valladolid in La Liga.

Musah – described as “incredibly versatile” and “very strong physically” by former Valencia head coach Jose Bordalas – started the match and played for 84 minutes.
