Patrick van Aanholt was impressed by Leeds United’s performance against Liverpool at Elland Road on Monday, according to his post on Twitter.
The Crystal Palace left-back was following the Premier League game between Leeds and Liverpool at Elland Road last night.
It was first Premier League game after the formation of the European Super League.
Liverpool are among six Premier League clubs who are part of the breakaway group.
The 30-year-old left-back has said on Twitter that Leeds were playing like they should be in the Super League, taking a swipe at Liverpool.
The Whites are playing in the Premier League this season for the first time since 2004, while Liverpool are defending champions.

Leeds United and Liverpool links
Interestingly, Palace left-back Van Aanholt has been linked with a move to Leeds in the summer transfer window.
The former Chelsea defender is out of contract at the end of the season, and, according to The Mirror last month, Leeds want to secure his services on a free transfer, as covered by HITC Sport.
The Sun reported in August 2019 that Liverpool turned down the chance to sign the left-back, who was offered to manager Jurgen Klopp.
