James Maddison has been linked with a move to Newcastle United in the summer transfer window, and his performance for Leicester City against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend showed why.
Maddison was so good that he impressed former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, as you can see from his Instagram post below.
Leicester hammered Tottenham 4-1 at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League this past weekend.
Maddison scored for the former Premier League champions in the 25th minute.
The England international attacking midfielder also provided an assist in the 81st minute.
The 26-year-old has taken to Instagram to express his delight at the win for Leicester against Tottenham, and former Arsenal midfielder Wilshere has praised him.
Maddison is one of the best playmakers in the Premier League not to play for a top-four club.
That, though, could change next season.
Newcastle, who are in the race for the UEFA Champions League places, could sign Maddison in the summer transfer window.
According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle are plotting a summer transfer move for Maddison.
The Leicester has scored nine goals and given five assists in the Premier League so far this season.
Maddison scored 12 goals and gave eight assists in the league last season.
