Hagi, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a forward, joined Rangers initially on loan from Genk in the January transfer window.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, the Gers paid the Belgian club £3 million in transfer fee to make the loan deal permanent this summer.
The 21-year-old Romania international has explained why he decided to commit his long-term future to Rangers.
Meanwhile, Hagi’s father, Gheorghe Hagi, believes that his son will one day leave Rangers for a bigger club.
Hagi told Rangers’ official website when asked he specifically chose the Gers among other clubs: “Everything! Especially the atmosphere – not only at the home games but also the away games and seeing the fans traveling all over the world with you.
“It’s amazing and just the people that work for Rangers – the medical staff, the coaching staff and everybody at the training ground at at Ibrox, they just make you feel really good and it just feels like home.
“The love that they [the fans] have shown me these past few months has been amazing, especially after the deal was made and everything was over.”
The Scottish Sun quotes Gheorghe Hagi as saying: “He’s now at Rangers with Steven Gerrard and that will help him with his development. Hopefully, one day there will be really big clubs fighting to sign him.”

Good signing for Rangers?
Hagi did well during his loan spell at Rangers, and showed that he can score goals and create chances for his teammates.
The 21-year-old is still a work in progress, and there is still room for improvement in his game.
Working under manager Steven Gerrard will only see the youngster improve and get better, and he could prove to be a big player in Rangers’ quest to stop their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row in 2020-21.
