Celtic have been linked with a number of players this summer, and now, it may just be a matter of time before a new rumour emerges.

Indeed, Jordan Larsson has just been released by Spartak Moscow, and, in our view, it’s just a matter of time before the Swedish striker is linked with a move to Celtic Park.

The attacker has been linked to Celtic pretty much since the day he was born. Ever since Henrik Larsson’s son began to show a bit of promise, there were fans dreaming of seeing the Bhoys legend’s offspring lining up for the Glasgow outfit.

It’s a logical link to make. After all, his dad is one of Celtic’s greatest modern legends, and he’s around the level of player that you may expect to sign for the Scottish champions.

Almost every summer Larsson is linked with Celtic, but, for one reason or another, a move has never come to fruition.

However, Larsson is now available on a free, and a long-touted move to Celtic could finally be on the cards.

The striker has previously stated that a move to his dad’s old club would be a ‘dream’ switch, and while it’s all pie in the sky at the moment, this is a transfer that would make a lot of sense.

Larsson is certainly good enough to play for Celtic. After all, he netted 15 league goals for Spartak in their 2020/21 campaign, and there’s reason to believe that he could carry that form over to Scotland.

Whether or not this move actually happens remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, there’ll be reading plenty of articles linking Larsson to Celtic published in the coming weeks.
