Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer this summer, but it seems that Spurs have missed out on the Argentina international to their former manager Jose Mourinho, now at AS Roma.
Tottenham Hotspur want(ed) Paulo Dybala
Tuttomercatoweb reported on June 21 that Tottenham were monitoring the situation of Dybala, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder.
The 28-year-old became a free agent at the end of last season when he parted company with Juventus.
Dybala was a big success at Juventus, winning the Serie A title five times, the Coppa Italia on four occasions, and reaching the UEFA Champions League final once.
The Argentine is very experienced, and we think that he would make Tottenham better in attack and give head coach Antonio Conte a valuable option.

AS Roma transfer done
However, it seems that Dybala is not going to join Tottenham and will move to AS Roma instead.
Roma are now managed by former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho.
Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio and La Gazzetta dello Sport are among the media outlets in Italy who have claimed that Roma have secured the services of Dybala on a free transfer.
Successful season
Former Genoa CEO and Palermo Sporting Director Giorgio Perinetti believes that Dybala will be a success at Roma and will have “an extraordinary season”.
Perinetti worked with Dybala at Palermo.
The Italian official is quoted as saying by TMW about Dybala: ” What is Dybala’s true fragility?
“He is subjected to special attention by his opponents, but he is not particularly prone to injuries.
“With good preparation and careful management, I don’t think he will have any problems, but with Mourinho on the bench, Paulo will have an extraordinary season.”
