If Arsenal scouts were watching Emiliano Buendia for Norwich City last night then they would surely have been amazed by his display.
Buendia has been on Arsenal’s wishlist for some time now, and EuroSport say the Gunners will launch a bid when the summer transfer window re-opens.
Martin Odegaard may be the Gunners’ first choice to sign as a playmaker now, but Buendia may well be moving up the pecking order of potential signings, after his showing yesterday.
The Argentine was in simply brilliant form, as he claimed three assists and scored a goal in Norwich’s 7-0 win over Huddersfield.
Buendia’s passing range was on full display, as the Canaries took a step closer to promotion.
Interestingly Buendia was awarded a perfect 10 rating by Who Scored, such was the standard of his display.

His achievement of racking up three assists in one game has not been done by an Arsenal player since Henrik Mkhitaryan managed it in 2018, in a 5-1 win over Everton.
Arsenal’s task of signing Buendia this summer may not be easy if they do push for him, though.
Norwich’s promotion back to the Premier League is effectively sealed already, and they will surely be determined to keep hold of him with their top flight status secured again.
