Reported Arsenal target Raheem Sterling has finished 15th in the rankings at the Ballon D’or awards, which were presented yesterday.
Sterling to Arsenal?
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side are already said to have made a bid for the Manchester City winger, according to a report in Calcio Mercato last month.
It has also been claimed in the Transfer Window Podcast that Arsenal will try and sign Sterling on loan in January.
The winger has struggled for game time at City this term, since the arrival of Jack Grealish.
The level of player that Arsenal would be getting if they are able to land Sterling was highlighted last night, though.
The 26-year-old was voted as the 15th best player in the world for 2021, which owes mainly to his heroics at the Euro’s.

Sterling was arguably England’s star of the tournament, as they reached the final.
The Gunners target scored three goals and claimed an assist over seven matches for the Three Lions.
Clever addition?
If he was to join Arsenal he would certainly enhance the quality of Arteta’s forward options.
However, there does have to be questions asked over whether spending a big fee on another winger would be wise for Arsenal.
Arteta does already have Bukayo Saka, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe available to him who can play out wide.
And while Sterling may be an upgrade, he would also take up a sizeable chunk of Arsenal’s budget, which could potentially be spent on improvements elsewhere in the team.
