Matt Turner has confirmed on Twitter that he has suffered a hairline fracture in his right foot.
The American goalkeeper missed the opening month of the MLS season, and he’s taken to social media to clear up the situation.
Turner gave an interview to a local news station about the situation, but to avoid his words being twisted, he’s cleared up any speculation about why he’s been out and what his injury issue is.
Turner’s issues were being blamed on the US Men’s National Team game in Minnesota, but the goalkeeper has now cleared up the situation, stating that his current problem is a fracture in his foot rather than a tendinitis issue that had plagued him previously.
The American is, of course, set to join Arsenal in the summer once the transfer window opens, and luckily for the Gunners, this issue shouldn’t keep him out for too long.
Indeed, Turner says that his rehab is going very well and he hopes to be back on the training ground in the very near future.
Fingers crossed that the 27-year-old’s injury problems are behind him in the long-run, because when he joins up with Arsenal this summer, he’ll be presented with the biggest opportunity of his career so far, and he’ll want to grab it with both fans.
