Sergio Reguilon is set to leave Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and join Atletico Madrid where he will replace Renan Lodi, who is on the verge of moving to Nottingham Forest, according to The London Evening Standard.
Sergio Reguilon to join Tottenham, Renan Lodi to move to Nottingham Forest
The London Evening Standard are reporting this afternoon that Reguilon will leave Tottenham on loan for Atletico in the summer transfer window.
Spurs and Atleti have reached an agreement over the transfer of the Spanish left-back.
The former La Liga champions do not have a buy option.
The report has added that left-back Lodi is set to leave Atletico for Tottenham’s Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest on a loan deal.
This means that Reguilon will replace Lodi in the Atletico team.

Works for everyone
In our view, the transfer of Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur to Atletico Madrid and the move of Renan Lodi to Nottingham Forest would work out for all the clubs concerned.
Reguilon is not going to get playing time at Spurs, and it makes sense that he is moving back to La Liga where he was a success with Sevilla.
As for Lodi, he will get the chance to play for Forest in the Premier League, and if it does not work out, then he could just go back to Atletico at the end of the season.
