West Ham United forward Gianluca Scamacca is set to hold a meeting with the London club, as he seeks a move away from England this summer.
According to Italian outlet Roma Giallorossa, Scamacca has organised a meeting in the next 48 hours with the West Ham higher-ups, as the forward is keen on moving to Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.
The report states that West Ham were reportedly unwilling to let the forward go, but that stane has recently softened.
The Italian outlet also reports that West Ham would want a full sale, but the Italian side are seemingly more keen on a loan deal with clubs in Italy struggling for cash.
For Scamacca, the £40 million move from Sassuolo has been a bit of a disaster.
The forward arrived from Italy with high expectations but scored just three goals in 16 Premier League games, as Michail Antonio remained the first-choice striker for manager David Moyes.

The Italian forward isn’t the first striker to arrive at the London Stadium and fail to live up to the expectation that the high price tag demanded.
Whether it be Simone Zaza, Sebastian Haller, or even former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Javier Hernandez, for whatever reason strikers seemingly struggle when they’re brought into the club.
Michail Antonio has impressed playing up front, but the Hammers have struggled with replacing the forward or even providing competition good enough so that he can be rested from time to time.
For Roma, Scamacca would be a superb addition, especially having done well during his time at Sassuolo.
Even on a permanent deal, the striker could prove to be a valuable signing for Roma in the coming years.
