Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Joe Rodon could leave Spurs in the summer transfer window.
Conte has pointed out that Rodon needs to play regularly in order to be at his best for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
Tottenham central defend Rodon is a Wales international and is an important player for the team.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that French club Rennes are on the verge of signing Rodon on loan from Tottenham.
Antonio Conte on Tottenham defender Joe Rodon
Conte told Football.London about Rodon: “Yeah Joe Rodon is another good player and don’t forget that in November there is the World Cup and many players want to play and play regularly.
“Also to prepare themselves for this important competition. I think that when the thoughts from the club and the players are the same we try to find the best solution for both.”

Spurs exit makes sense
In our view, it would make sense for Tottenham Hotspur central defender Joe Rodon to leave Spurs this summer, at least on loan.
The 24-year-old is not going to get much playing time at Tottenham in the coming months.
There is no point in the Welshman just warming the bench at Spurs.
Rennes are a big and ambitious club, and if Rodon gets the chance to play regularly for the Ligue 1 outfit, then he should take it.
The 24-year-old has made only 15 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
