Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after footage emerged of Mikel Arteta taking part in a training drill at London Colney.
What’s the story?
Well, the video shows Arteta partaking in a passing drill with his players.
The Spaniard can be seen standing on the outside of a square as the wide receiver, where the middle is simply a congested pit of players hungry for the ball.
Impressively, Arteta doesn’t lose the ball once during the footage.
You can certainly tell he was schooled in Barcelona’s La Masia and worked alongside Pep Guardiola for years!
This footage has got the Arsenal fans talking. Some loved what they saw, while others weren’t too happy about Arteta being this involved.
One supporter argued that he is taking an opportunity away from a young player by involving himself in the training.
Should Mikel Arteta get this involved in Arsenal training?

In our view, there’s no problem with Arteta partaking in sessions.
It breaks down traditional barriers between a manager and his players, while it will also help Arteta get his ideas across more effectively.
Yes, it would be nice to see a young player in his place, although we’re sure he’d remove himself from the equation if he felt he was blocking opportunities for others.

Clearly, he’s still a fantastic footballer as well, so it’s not as if he’s bringing down the overall quality of the sessions.
Hopefully, Arteta continues to get involved at London Colney.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying the footage…
