
West Brom fans have had their say on Arsenal loanee Ainsley Maitland-Niles playing in midfield.
The England international left Arsenal during the January transfer window to seek regular game time and to play in his favoured position – midfield.
Well, he is getting what he has been craving for at the Emirates in the Midlands, as Sam Allardyce’s men battle for relegation.
On Sunday, two Arsenal men came face to face – Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock, as West Brom recorded a pretty dour goalless draw against Newcastle.
West Brom fans like what they see from Maitland-Niles, but interestingly enough, they don’t see the Arsenal academy product as a midfield player.
A selection of Baggies supporters feel he should be playing out wide because he is better suited to that position.
During the Newcastle game, Maitland-Niles did have a guilt-edge chance when on a counter-attack, outnumbering the opposition, only for his decision-making and lack of final ball letting him down.
That was pointed out by the WBA supporters, who like the effort from the Arsenal man, but they would like to see him playing out wide.

If Maitland-Niles cannot work his magic in midfield for West Brom then it will blow his chances of playing in that position for Arsenal in the long-run, so perhaps playing as a wing-back or winger for WBA is the best option for Hale-End star going forward.
