Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will make a bid for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice after the UEFA Europa Conference League final.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Arsenal are very serious about signing Declan Rice from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
Romano has added that the Gunners’ plan is to make an official bid for the 24-year-old England international after the UEFA Europa Conference League final.
The Hammers will take on Italian club Fiorentina in the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League on June 7.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “Arsenal official bid for Declan Rice will be submitted after the Europa League final. Plan very clear. #AFC“

Arsenal plan on West Ham United star Declan Rice very smart
In our view, that Arsenal are planning to make an official bid for Declan Rice after West Ham United’s season ends is very smart indeed.
The Hammers are busy preparing for the final against Fiorentina.
The chance to win the UEFA Europa Conference League is huge for the Hammers.
So, the West Ham bosses will surely not want to be distracted by any potential offers for any of their best players now.
And it seems that Arsenal accept that and respect it.
Once the season officially ends for the Hammers, the London club would start looking seriously into selling and buying players.
We believe that if Arsenal do have a very good offer for Rice – described as “a diamond and a fabulous player” by former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves on Premier League Productions (29/04/23 at 11:50 am) – then they will be able to sign him.
