West Bromwich Albion striker Hal Robson-Kanu has raved about Tottenham Hotspur summer signing Gareth Bale to Football Fancast, adding that he does not think that the winger was treated well at Real Madrid.
Robson-Kanu plays with Bale for the Wales national football team, and the 31-year-old has spoken highly of the winger.
Bale joined Spurs on a season-long loan deal from Spanish and European giants Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The Wales international winger moved to Madrid from Tottenham back in the summer of 2013, and won the La Liga title twice and the Champions League on four occasions with Los Blancos.
Robson-Kanu told Football Fancast about Bale: “He’s certainly up there as one of the best players I’ve played with as his qualities speak for themselves.
“If you look at what he achieved during his time at Real Madrid, it’s probably not acknowledged enough, he wasn’t treated very well.
“He was extremely successful there, probably more successful than the other Galacticos who were there at the time.
“He is a top professional who really looks after the rest of the group, and as a senior player himself he now has the knowledge to impart to younger players as well.”

Big signing for Tottenham Hotspur
Bale had injury problems at Madrid in recent years, and when fit, the Wales international could not get into head coach Zinedine Zidane’s team.
The winger made 12 starts in La Liga and played just 117 minutes in the Champions League for Los Blancos last season, while during the 2018-19 campaign, he made 21 starts in the league and five starts in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.
The Welshman remains one of the best players in the world, and he is a big signing for Spurs, as Jose Mourinho’s side aim to challenge for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.
Meanwhile, Le10Sport has reported that Tottenham did not make any offer to Lyon for striker Moussa Dembele this summer.
