Lucas Digne has picked Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris ahead of Barcelona star, Marc-André ter Stegen in his ultimate XI, as he told BT Sport.
The Everton defender has played with Lloris on the international stage for France, as another Tottenham player in Serge Aurier made his XI, alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
In recent weeks, Lloris’ old habits and error-prone ways have crept back into his game and he has received criticism for mistakes against the likes of Everton and Manchester City.
But left-back Digne claimed that he picks his fellow countryman over Barcelona’s shot-stopper because of the career he has had.
“In goal, it was hard because I have a lot of between Ter Stegen and Lloris,” said Digne.
“But I will choose Lloris over Ter Stegen for his career. For me, he is one of the best keepers in the world. He’s a very good guy. He’s the captain of the national team and if he can help you, he will do for sure.
On Aurier: “I grew up with him and I play against him when I was in Lille when he was playing in RC Lens. We play every time, in the young team, one against one.
“It was a good battle. And I was so happy to play against him again against Tottenham.”

It’s been nearly ten years since Tottenham plucked £12 million (BBC Sport) for the services of Lloris and he has seen the club rise during that period.
The North London outfit have become regulars in Europe, and whilst they suffered a crushing defeat, they did reach the Champions League finals in Madrid.
Spurs fans are hoping for more journeys, such as the one above, with the trophy-laden coach, Jose Mourinho in charge of delivering the success.
