Chris Wilder has told the Examiner that ‘time is running out’ in their potential move for Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.
The Independent have previously claimed that Sheffield United are keen on Liverpool’s academy product in a potential £20 million deal.
The Blades have lost their opening three Premier League matches and are in need of a lift.
Brewster would provide that bit of magic that Wilder needs and following their defeat to Leeds, he was asked about an update on the Liverpool striker.
“I have been focusing on the team but time is running out,” Wilder told the Examiner Live.
Whilst Brewster isn’t the answer to Sheffield United’s problems, he can more than provide freshness and spark that is needed to their final third.
Brewster pace, energy and ability to attempt the extraordinary would work wonders in a Wilder system that’s not matched by many in the world.

If he does move then it will be interesting to see how Liverpool part ways with him because he is highly-regarded by the club.
Liverpool fans would, of course, like to see their academy star move out on loan, grow further as a footballer and then return to their set-up, but that might not be possible.
