Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Eberechi Eze has been raving about Spurs playmaker James Maddison following international duty.
James Maddison has made a real impression on Eberechi Eze amid rumours they could join forces at Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to Crystal Palace goalkeeping coach Dean Kiely, who has been speaking to The Athletic.
Eze headed off on international duty earlier this month but didn’t feature quite as much as hoped.
The 25-year-old played just 19 minutes across two games as he still seeks to establish himself in Gareth Southgate’s setup.

Eberechi Eze blown away by James Maddison
Eze still got to see a number of England stars in training, including Tottenham star James Maddison.
Eze is hardly unaware of Maddison; they have played against each other five times in the past.
Training together is something a little different though and the Tottenham star appears to have made a real impression.
Palace coach Dean Kiely – who worked with Maddison at Norwich City – admitted that he was asking Eze about Maddison.
Eze’s response was effusive, praising him as ‘fun to be around’ as a person but also ‘incredible’ on the pitch.
“I was speaking to Eberechi Eze when he got back from England duty,” said Kiely. “I asked, ‘How was Madders?’, and he said, ‘Oh mate, what a guy, he’s fun to be around. A real good lad in the group, contributes, makes people laugh. But on the pitch, he’s incredible’,” he added.

Eze could join Maddison at Tottenham Hotspur
Eze is clearly a big fan of Maddison and rumours suggest that they could end up joining forces at Tottenham Hotspur in 2024.
Football London reported in August that Spurs have Eze on their transfer wish list amid strong connections to his agency CAA Base.
The Express then noted that Spurs were considering invest the Harry Kane cash in Eze, but they ended up signing Brennan Johnson.
Tottenham still like Eze and the idea of him drifting off the left flank to link up with Maddison is a hugely exciting one.
Convincing Palace to sell won’t be easy but with Eze clearly loving Maddison, maybe Spurs can get them to link up in North London.
