According to Forbes, Manchester United expect Sergio Reguilon to join Tottenham Hotspur soon.

It has been reported that United do not plan to bid for the Real Madrid left-back as they have confidence in Luke Shaw and his deputy Brandon Williams.

The report has added that the Red Devils believe that they are being used to ‘drive up interest in Reguilon’, and that the English giants expect the 23-year-old to move to Premier League rivals Tottenham soon.

The Mirror reported this month of interest in the 23-year-old left-back from United, while AS have also claimed that Tottenham and the Red Devils are among a number of clubs who are looking to sign the Spain international.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Reguilon did well during his loan spell at Sevilla last season, as he played an important role in the club finishing in the top four of the La Liga table and also winning the Europa League.

Danny Rose has not been at his best for a while, and he is also 30 years of age, while Reguilon is only 23 years old and has his entire future ahead of him and would compete with Ben Davies.

According to WhoScored, last season, Reguilon scored two goals and provided four assists in 31 La Liga matches, and scored one goal and providing one assist in six Europa League games for Sevilla.
