Sam Allardyce is set to face Merseyside rivals Liverpool tonight in the FA Cup.

Just a month after their last meeting, Everton will once again make the short trip across Stanley Park to face bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup.
Sam Allardyce’s side drew 1-1 with Liverpool in that match after a controversial late penalty. The Toffees are 17 points and five places behind their local rivals but, despite spending over £100million in the summer, which of Everton’s players would make the current Liverpool team?
We have picked out three Everton players who would get into the Reds XI.
Jordan Pickford
Arguably Everton’s best summer signing has been Jordan Pickford who arrived at Goodison Park for £30m from Sunderland.

The 23-year-old has been ever present for Everton and pulled off plenty of big saves at big moments for the Toffees. Both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius are prone to mistakes, with Mignolet being at fault for two of Arsenal’s three goals in their 3-3 draw before Christmas.
Idrissa Gueye
Liverpool will be signing Naby Keita from Red Bull Leipzig this coming summer, but for now their options in the centre of midfield are unconvincing. Jordan Henderson, Emre Can and Giorginio Wijnaldum have all been rotated this season and have failed to nail down a consistent starting role.

Gueye is a natural defensive midfielder, which Liverpool have been lacking, and he made 135 tackles last season, more than anyone else in the league. He has been Everton’s most consistent performer over the last 18 months.
Leighton Baines

Liverpool have had numerous problems at left-back over the last couple of years. Alberto Moreno has improved this season but there are still doubts about him defensively. Andrew Robertson hasn’t fully settled in yet and James Milner is sometimes drafted in from midfield.
Baines has been a solid left-back for nearly 15 years and is still an important player for Allardyce’s team although he will miss the cup tie through injury.
