The Manchester United defender looks set to leave Old Trafford.

Daley Blind could be leaving Old Trafford for Italy on transfer deadline day according to Sky Sports.
The Dutch defender is in talks with Serie A side Roma as he searches for first team football. The 27-year-old has featured in just one Premier League games since September and has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho.
Their are a handful of top flight clubs in need of defensive reinforcements and with one day to go, good options like Blind aren’t always available. Here are three Premier League clubs who should try and hijack Roma’s deal.
Southampton
After losing Virgil Van Dijk, Southampton are yet to bring in a defender to fill the void. Wesley Hoedt and Jack Stephens has been the centre-back pairing post Van Dijk but given they’re currently in the bottom three, the Saints may need more depth and quality in that position to help them get out of trouble.

Blind can play at centre half and at left-back. He’s an experienced defender who knows Hoedt well having played together for the Netherlands. Ryan Bertrand is also facing a battle to be fit for upcoming games so extra cover at left-back wouldn’t go amiss either.
Newcastle United
Newcastle United are quite short on quality at the back. Their current left-back options are Javier Manquillo and Paul Dummett. Neither have really excelled at Premier League level so someone like Blind, who will probably come fairly cheap in today’s market, could be someone who could go to St James’ Park and make the left-back role his own.
Sky Sports report Newcastle could also miss out on Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala who is closing in on a move to Everton so Blind could also a central option which they also now need to pursue.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace’s pursuit of Ibrahim Amadou looks to be going pear shaped according to Sky Sports. The defender has been subject of a bid from West Ham.
Understandably Roy Hodgson is desperate to add a defender given his injury problems at the back.
Blind can bring them the experience and quality they need to help Palace retain their Premier League status and he’s also a cheaper option compared to the Lille centre half.
His ability to play as a defensive midfielder could also be crucial.
