The Premier League season has reached a crucial point. There are just 11 games to go and time is running out for teams who are either trying to avoid relegation or break into the top four.
February and March have often seen clubs change managers in one final desperate attempt to save their respective campaigns, and there are a handful of clubs who fall under that category at the moment.
Marco Silva, formerly of Hull City and Watford is available and could quickly replace any manager who could be sacked in the coming weeks.
Here are three clubs he could potentially be in charge of should they decide to make a change:
West Bromwich Albion
West Brom have slipped seven points adrift of safety and are actually in a worse position than they were under Tony Pulis. Alan Pardew has won just one of his 13 league games in charge and fans are beginning to grow frustrated with the former Newcastle boss.
Should Albion lose to Huddersfield, they could find themselves 10 points adrift and let another rival pull further away, so it would be unsurprising if they part with Pardew if they fail to win. The 56-year-old is 12/1 with Sky Bet to leave West Brom this season.
Southampton
Southampton are sat in the relegation zone but have stuck by Mauricio Pellegrino for now. The Argentine has won just one of his last 14 games and the club have only picked up five victories all season.
Four of his next five games are away from home, although the Saints will play the likes of Stoke City, Swansea City and Newcastle United – all teams around them – so how he fares in those matches could define how long he remains in charge. The former Deportivo Alaves boss is 2/1 to be the next manager to be sacked in the Premier League with Sky Bet.
Silva would fit the bill at St Mary’s as he plays attractive football and often makes a quick impact.
Chelsea
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte appeared to be hanging on to his job by a thread after back-to-back defeats to Bournemouth and Watford, but a comfortable victory over West Brom has eased the pressure.
The Blues head to Old Trafford in their next league game and defeat there could see Conte end his somewhat fractious relationship with Chelsea. The Italian is also the favourite with Sky Bet to be the next manager to lose his job.
The Sun claim the Blues hierarchy are considering Silva as a short-term option should the Italian get the chop at Stamford Bridge. Silva is fifth favourite with Sky Bet to be the next permanent manager at Chelsea with odds of 12/1.
