West Bromwich Albion desperately need to freshen up their squad to boost their survival bid.
West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew wants to bring new players to The Hawthorns but admitted he needs to sell players in order to do that, as reported by Sky Sports.
Pardew is particularly keen to bring an attacker to West Brom but, with just one week left of the January window, time is running out and they need to raise funds quickly if they are to get anything done.
Here are three players who Pardew could sell to raise the funds which will allow him to pursue his targets:
Jonny Evans
West Bromwich Albion could lose Jonny Evans for just £3million in the summer if they get relegated, according to the BBC.
The defender has a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave for a that price and with Albion still 19th, they are at risk of making a loss on their star player.
Matt Phillips
Matt Phillips has had a disappointing season so far at The Hawthorns. The winger is one of very few fast, attack minded players in the West Brom squad but he has failed to make an impact this term.
Phillips has just two goals and two assists to his name in all competitions so far this season and a fresh start may be beneficial for the Scotland international, so Albion may feel it is time to cut their losses on him.
Hal Robson-Kanu
Although West Brom need to be signing strikers, one forward who has struggled is Hal Robson-Kanu. The Wales international has scored just two goals this season and has just five in 41 games since joining in 2016.
He has never scored more than seven goals in a season throughout his career and Pardew may feel a goal poacher is required more than Robson-Kanu.
Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez have both scored more than Robson-Kanu, so if they can swap him for someone with a better scoring record then Albion’s trio will look a lot more threatening.
