The loss of Scott Dann is a killer blow to Crystal Palace’s survival hopes.

Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury, as reported by the BBC.
The 30-year-old was stretchered off during Palace’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City on New Year’s Eve which will come as a huge blow after good recent performances.
Luckily for the Eagles, the transfer window is now open so here are three players they should target to replace him.
Ibrahim Amadou
Palace have reportedly lodged a bid for LOSC Lille defender Ibrahim Amadou according to Sky Sports. The 24-year-old has been on the Eagles’ radar for about a year now; however they prioritised the signing of Mamadou Sakho.

Amadou will cost between £13m-£16m, which is not a lot in today’s market for a defender who is physically very good and should be a fine fit for Premier League football. He has made 81 appearances for Lille, scoring three times since joining in 2015.
Aden Flint
Aden Flint was linked with a move away from Bristol City all summer according to the Bristol Post with the likes of Fulham, Birmingham City and Leeds United all showing an interest.

He has since gone on to play a crucial role for the Robins in their rise to the play-offs and has been one of their standout performers. The 28-year-old is good in both penalty areas, he has six goals to his name this season and is a threat from set pieces. Flint may be tempted by a Premier League offer as, given their last two results, promotion for City is by no means a guarantee.
Eliaquim Mangala
Crystal Palace may dip into the loan market where Manchester City’s Eliaquim Mangala could be available. Pep Guardiola is keen to bring in Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion according to ESPN and Mangala could make way.

The Frenchman was loaned out to Valencia last season and it appeared his City days were over, however he has managed to play 12 games so far this season.
At times, Guardiola has favoured Fernandinho instead of the former FC Porto man and with the World Cup coming up, Mangala will be keen to get first team football in the Premier League so a revitalised Palace side could be a good option for him as well as the Eagles.
