Championship clubs have been busy so far this month, with Leeds United, Cardiff City and Barnsley among those to impress.

The transfer window has began to hot up as teams in the Championship try to get deals done to enhance their respective promotion push or their fight for survival.

Their have been plenty of players who have been on the move so far and plenty of money has been spent. HITC Sport takes a look at some of the standout deals in the Championship so far.

Adam Forshaw – Middlesbrough to Leeds United

Adam Forshaw became Leeds’ fifth signing of the January window, joining from Middlesbrough for £4.5million according to BBC Sport.

The new Leeds midfielder comes with plenty of promotion experience, having achieved the feat with Boro and Brentford in recent seasons. Forshaw played 34 times in the Premier League last term but has struggled to nail down a starting place at the Riverside this season.

He is a box-to-box midfielder with an excellent range of passing, so add that to the experience he has and Leeds have a top player at this level.

Marko Grujic – Liverpool to Cardiff City

Cardiff City signed Liverpool’s exciting youngster Marko Grujic on loan for the rest of the season and it is one that could turn out to be a real coup for the club.

The 21-year-old has made just six appearances so far this season but he is someone who Jurgen Klopp rates highly. He comes to a side challenging for promotion and brings fresh attacking impetus to Neil Warnock’s squad.

Kieffer Moore – Ipswich to Barnsley

Kieffer Moore is a man who is bang in form. The forward scored 13 goals for Rotherham United during a loan spell in the first half of the season. He was one of the standout players in League One and the Millers, as well as other clubs, were desperate for his signature.

He chose Barnsley and is keen to prove that he is capable of producing similar goal tallies in the Championship.

Barnsley are currently 19th in the Championship so should the 25-year-old remain in confident form then they should have no problems staying up.
