The Mexican has not quite lived up to expectations at West Ham United so far this season.
Javier Hernandez has been struggling for form and struggling for goals at West Ham United so far this season.
The former Manchester United striker arrived at the London Stadium with plenty of excitement surrounding him, after he joined the Hammers for what was reported by Sky Sports as a £16million transfer fee.
According to the Telegraph, West Ham are now willing to listen to offers for the Mexican who has not scored since October.
The 29-year-old is renowned for his predatory instincts in the box but he has not been as clinical this term and even struggled to make an impact against League One Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup, where he was bullied out of the game.
‘Chicharito’ got off to a reasonable start at the London Stadium. He netted four goals in his first 10 league games, so a record like that had him on course to hit double figures by the end of the season.
Since then, Slaven Bilic has gone and the forward picked up an injury which ruled him out for a month back in November. Hernandez and his new boss David Moyes do not seem to go well together.
Before the Scot arrived at Old Trafford in 2013, Hernandez scored 20, 12 and 18 goals in his first three campaigns at Manchester United, but in Moyes’ season he found the net just nine times. He is yet to score for the former Everton boss at the London Stadium so he clearly struggles under the 54-year-old.
It may therefore be a wise move to cut their losses and bring someone in who the manager prefers, as it is clear he has never 100% fancied Hernandez. The Telegraph also report that the Hammers are keen on Andre Schurrle from Borussia Dortmund, which would surely excite West Ham fans.
