Roy Keane told Super Sunday on Sky Sports that Tottenham’s new stadium is ‘magnificent’ but it’s just a ‘pity’ that supporters aren’t allowed in.

For Tottenham’s showdown with Manchester United over the weekend, Keane was a first-time visitor to their new big-money stadium, as he watched his former side walk away with a 3-1 win.

Of course, supporters aren’t allowed in, at this moment in time, but with restrictions being lifted, Sky were able to broadcast from the stadium itself.

As per, Keane was in fine form once again and clashing with Jamie Redknapp about Jose Mourinho.

But, before all that, he was asked to share his first impressions of Tottenham’s new stadium.

“Fantastic,” said Keane. “Beautiful stadium. Having said that I used to love playing at the old White Hart Lane.

“Pity there are no supporters here because it is a magnificent stadium.”

Tottenham didn’t move into their new surroundings to compete outside of Europe or in the Europa League.

It’s all about challenging for the Premier League title, winning trophies and playing Champions League football, year in and year out.

At this moment in time, they don’t seem to be heading down that road, which will be a big worry for those in the North London boardroom.
