Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are competing with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for Napoli and Georgia international winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to The Times.
Newcastle want to sign Real Madrid target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
The report has claimed that Newcastle are determined to sign Kvaratskhelia either in the January transfer window or next summer and have made him their ‘top target’.
The Premier League club regularly scouted the Napoli star before the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Real Madrid and PSG are also keen on the winger, but Newcastle owners, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), are determined to sign him despite the price-tag of £50 million and Napoli’s attempt to tie him down to a new contract.
Kvaratskhelia is under contract at Serie A club Napoli until 2027.

Big statement
In our view, if Newcastle United are able to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, then it will be a big statement.
Newcastle have done well under head coach Eddie Howe and are going places under the ownership of PIF.
Described as a “cheeky” winger who is “really quick” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the Reds’ official website in November 2022, the 21-yea-old can only get better in the coming years.
Kvaratskhelia has scored six goals and given five assists in 11 Serie A matches and has scored two goals and provided three assists in five UEFA Champions League games for Napoli so far this season.
