Can Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic win the Europa League this season?

Celtic are playing in the group stage of the Champions League at the moment, but the Glasgow giants will not progress to the knockout rounds of Europe’s premier club competition.
Brendan Rodgers’s side, though, can drop to the Europa League if they finish third in the group.
The Hoops are also going strong in Scotland and should win the Scottish Premiership title with ease yet again this season.
Celtic will fancy their chances of claiming the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup this campaign as well.

Former Celtic striker Van Hooijdonk believes that the Bhoys can win the Europa League this season.
“Celtic haven’t officially qualified yet — but I do expect them to beat Anderlecht and get to the knockouts of the Europa,” Van Hooijdonk told The Scottish Sun. “After that, then who knows what can happen?
“People talk about Celtic winning all the trophies in Scotland and getting another Treble. Right now, that looks very likely.
“They will win the league, I expect them to be too strong for Motherwell on Sunday and they will be hard to stop in the Scottish Cup.
“But why can’t Celtic go and compete in the Europa League too? I believe they are good enough.”

The Europa League is a very tough competition to win and is probably more competitive than the Champions League.
Celtic do have a good squad, but it is hard to envisage the Hoops going all the way in the Europa League, given that there will be other teams from the Champions League dropping to the competition after the group stage.
