A report from Germany suggested that Pierre-Michel Lasogga was starting to become unhappy at Leeds United following their recent results.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga had made a bright start to life on loan at Leeds following his summer arrival, but like many of the players in Thomas Christiansen’s squad, his recent form has given fans little to shout about.

And it appeared that he was getting as frustrated with the situation as the supporters were, with German outlet Hamburger Morgenpost reporting just last week that he was disillusioned with life at Elland Road due to their recent results.

It would not be a surprise if he was frustrated with the club’s form – they have lost three on the bounce – but the idea that he was unhappy just six Championship games into his loan spell, during which he has scored three times while Leeds remain in the top six despite their recent blip, would have come as a shock to the Whites fans.

But, perhaps it would be fair to suggest that Lasogga has quashed any idea that he is unhappy by suggesting during a Q&A with supporters – which was reported by LUTV – that he wants to play in the Premier League next season with Leeds.

“For me, I played in the Bundesliga, now I play in the Championship so I hope at the end of the season, we can altogether play next year in the Premier League,” he said, as reported by LUTV.

The comments come more than a month after he previously suggested to the Yorkshire Evening Post that he would like to be a Leeds player in the top flight, and these latest comments certainly suggest that he is still happy at Elland Road, despite the recent reports coming out his home country.

And Christiansen will be hoping that Lasogga reiterating his ambition to play in the Premier League with Leeds puts any question regarding his happiness and commitment to the club to bed, as it will surely be a lot easier for the Whites to get themselves back on track on the pitch if there is as much harmony as possible off it.
