Leeds United maintained their impressive start to their 2017/18 campaign after registering a 5-0 victory against Burton at Elland Road on Saturday.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored twice for the home side on his debut to help the Yorkshire club maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
It took 20 minutes for Leeds to break the deadlock, and it came from their new summer signing Lasogga who scored from the edge of the box.
Kalvin Phillips doubled the lead, and Pablo Hernandez extended the lead from the penalty spot when Lasogga was hurled down in the box.
At times Leeds played scintillating football and made it 4-0 after the break when Kemar Roofe scored a spectacular goal.
However, the day belonged to the 25-year-old debutant who capped off a wonderful performance with a brace, as he scored the fifth goal of the match.
Lasogga, on loan from Hamburg, struggled last season for the Bundesliga side, but his performance suggested that he could be a solid replacement for Chris Wood, who joined Burnley this summer.
According to whoscored.com, Lasogga had nine shots, created three chances, and maintained a 100% passing accuracy.
Along with his two goals, he provided one assist, and had one shot hit the woodwork. That is indeed a brilliant debut and Lasogga have asked for any better than this.
