Pierre-Michel Lasogga is still awaiting his Leeds United debut, but has already hinted that he would be interested in staying longer.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has hinted that he is open to the idea of staying at Leeds United beyond the duration of his loan spell by discussing the idea of playing in the Premier League with the Whites, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
Lasogga joined Leeds on transfer deadline day, signing from Hamburg on a season-long loan as the Championship side looked to replace former top goalscorer Chris Wood – who left for Burnley.

But ahead of Thomas Christiansen’s side’s return to action this weekend following the end of the international break – the clash with Burton may present Lasogga with the chance to make his debut for the club – the 25-year-old dropped a small hint that there may be scope for the deal to be extended beyond this season.
“It’s my first time in England. I spent all my time in Germany but now I’ll try my best here,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It’s been a dream since I was a small boy to play in England and also in the Premier League.
“Maybe we’ll get the chance to go up into the Premier League and then we’ll see what happens next year with me. Maybe I can play here with Leeds in the Premier League.”
If Lasogga is keen to stay with Leeds, then perhaps that may be extremely beneficial to his chances of being a success at Elland Road this term, as he will be fully determined to make as much of an impression this season as possible.
There have been numerous occasions when loanees have seemed to find another gear as they look to prove that they are deserving of a permanent deal – and Lasogga hinting that he may be interested in staying beyond this year certainly suggests that he will be looking for that next gear.
And if he scores the goals that fire Leeds to the Premier League this season, then it will surely be extremely difficult for the club’s hierarchy to find a good enough reason not to try and extend his deal further.
