Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have given their reaction on Twitter to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg showing off his new look.
What’s the story?
As you can see from the tweet below, Hojbjerg has shaved his beard.
The Denmark international midfielder sported a beard last season, and some Tottenham fans are stunned by how he looks now.
We can only get a view of Hojbjerg’s profile from the photo below, but he does look very different from how we are used to seeing him in a Tottenham shirt.
Big season ahead
Hojbjerg joined Tottenham from Southampton only last summer.
The 25-year-old midfielder cost Spurs £15 million plus bonuses, according to Sky Sports at the time.
Spurs did not have a particularly great season, but the Dane did relatively well on a personal level.
The Tottenham no.5 scored two goals and gave four assists in 38 Premier League games last season.
Hojbjerg also played seven times in the Europa League for the North London club.
Nuno is the new head coach of Tottenham.
You can be assured that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss will make Hojbjerg an important player in his team.
Hojbjerg is a defensive midfielder by trade, but he showed at the European Championship that he can also do well when given the freedom to go forward.
The 25-year-old gave three assists in six Euro 2020 appearances for Denmark.
