Pierluigi Gollini has signed a four-year contract with Aston Villa.

Aston Villa’s latest signing Pierluigi Gollini has posted a heartfelt message to his former club, Verona, after completing a move earlier today.
Gollini has penned a four-year deal at the Midlands side, as Roberto Di Matteo begins to make changes to the squad he has inherited.
Gollini caught the eye through his appearances at Verona, where he has spent the last two seasons.
Verona placed a great amount of trust in the 21-year-old, and judging from his post on social media site Twitter, it seems that Gollini still has a great deal of affection for his former club.
The tweet reads: “Thanks Verona thanks Hellas … hard to put all my emotions for this shirt. Forever in my heart.”
Gollini is expected to compete with Mark Bunn for Villa’s number one shirt next season.

Di Matteo wanted a new goalkeeper, after Brad Guzan failed to impress in the Premier League last campaign.
Gollini is due to train with his new Villa teammates this week, while they are on their pre season tour of Austria.
Gollini is Villa’s second signing of the summer, following on from the addition of Tommy Elphick.
