West Ham’s Olympic Stadium v Domizale
West Ham began the next chapter in their history last night as their first ever match inside the Olympic Stadium took place.
A crowd of 54,000 were in attendance for the Europa League game, with West Ham needing to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg against Slovenian side Domizale.
Slaven Bilic’s side ran out 3-0 winners, going through 4-2 on aggregate, with Cheikhou Kouyate scoring twice, before summer signing Sofiane Feghouli netting a late third.

It will take a long time for the new stadium to feel like home after they left more intimate Upton Park behind after 100 years of history.
To kick off with a win is a positive omen, and the club will be glad the night went off without a hitch, and supporters in attendance will be able to fondly look back on their first visit of many to the ground.
