Aston Villa defender Easah Suliman was pictured training with the club’s first team ahead of their FA Cup third round clash against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

The 20-year-old was on a season-long loan at Dutch side FC Emmen, but it seems he has returned early and could feature for the club at the weekend.

As posted by Villa’s official Twitter account, Suliman can be seen far left of the picture, behind midfielder Henri Lansbury and to Albert Adomah’s right-hand side.

Suliman spent only nine minutes on the field for FC Emmen in the Erdeversie as he will now be looking to impress manager Dean Smith.

The highly-rated centre-back has only made one senior appearance for his boyhood club and that was during Villa’s 4-1 win over Wigan in the EFL Cup in 2017 – he came on as a second-half substitute.

Previously, Villa recalled defender Tommy Elphick from his season-long loan at Hull City, as confirmed on their official website.

Over the course of the Championship season, Villa, both under Smith and Steve Bruce, have had a number of defensive problems.

The Midlands outfit have conceded 40 goals this term and are currently off track in their race for promotion as they turn their attention to the FA Cup.
