Twitter user @ric_wee is a Malaysian Everton fan who had made his first ever trip to Goodison Park to see his team play, in 30 years of supporting the club, only to see the game called off.
There was a happy ending however. Everton’s official Twitter account were alerted to his plight by hundreds of social media users, and they tracked him down.
Not the night he was expecting, but thanks to the caring attitude of the club, it will still be one he never forgets.
