Olivier Giroud complained over the use of physical aggression from Everton earlier today.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud complained over the use of an elbow during the Gunners’ 3-0 defeat to Everton earlier today.
The French striker produced a lacklustre performance as his side fell to another away defeat and he seems to suggest that he was being bullied and treated a little unfairly during the game by the Everton defence.
Considering Giroud is six feet four inches tall and plays as Arsenal’s sole striker, you’d expect him to take a physical approach from the opposition on the chin, even thrive on it and use it as inspiration to win a game.
Clutching at straws?
He needs to get used to it if Everton talked about taking a physical approach with the Frenchman because Wigan could use similar tactics next weekend in the FA Cup game between the sides.
They’ll try and get stuck into him, using physical aggression to knock him off his game in a match where the Gunners need him to produce a superb performance, as they try to prevent another trophyless season.
