Arsenal attacker Lukas Podolski had fans of his old club come to support him against Bayern.
Lukas Podolski gave supporters a moment to savour at the Allianz Arena last night, and not just Arsenal fans.
The German international revealed via his Instagram account the following day that fans of his former club Cologne were at the stadium to cheer him on, and made themselves known to him at the final whistle.
Podolski described the moment as ‘moving’, and ’emotional’, and he certainly won’t forget the commitment from the supporters when he considers his future options.
The attacker has a contract at 2016 with Arsenal, but it’s certainly no stretch to imagine a return to his former club would be appealing to him, while Inter Milan and Schalke remain linked with a transfer this summer.
FC Koln presently sit top of the Bundesliga 2, clear by four points and odds on for promotion back into the top flight.
