Gabby Agbonlahor has just written himself into Jaap Stam fame.
Stam hilariously delivered a crunching tackle on pop star Olly Murs in a charity game, showing he was not to be messed with.
Now Agbonlahor has shown a similar disrespect for another ‘wannabe’ footballer, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson.
Tomlinson oddly signed a deal with Doncaster Rovers this summer, in a move which smacked of a publicity stunt by the League One club, yet to make an appearance for them.
He was invited to perform in a friendly for Stilyan ‘Stan’ Petrov which is taking place this weekend, being clattered by Agbonlahor.
The Villa man has become as a result a hero among ‘real’ football fans, but a hate figure among One Directioners, who are no doubt tweeted him death threats already…
