The latest edition of TwentyFour7 Football is out today and there’s a reason Tottenham fans should buy it.
It’s not because Ian Holloway is on the front cover, which generally means a guaranteed chuckle as you read, but because of a small story to the left of Holloway’s face.
Zenit St Petersburg star Hulk has admitted that he wants to play for AVB again, which could be a come and get me plea from the Brazilian star to his former Porto manager.
Tottenham do need a striker this winter to come in and support Roberto Soldado and Jermain Defoe, with no sign that Emmanuel Adebayor is going to be brought in from the cold any time soon.
It’s not the first time Hulk has admitted that he misses playing for AVB and wants to link up again with his former manager, but there are big problems with a potential move to White Hart Lane.

The first issue is the financial side of things, with Zenit likely to demand a huge fee for the striker and the massive personal package in terms of wages and bonuses that would go along with the move.
Secondly, he’ll want to play and not just now and then, but all the time.
That creates problems because of the system Tottenham use, which is based around having one man up front, supported by a talented midfield.
It would mean a very talented duo in Soldado and Defoe sitting on the bench, when they have carried the attack of the side so far this season, which leads onto point three; the fans.
It may not be a popular move with the supporters because of the way Hulk carries himself around the pitch. Strikers have to be selfish but can the fans who pay their money to watch the team expect the same effort from Hulk that they see from other Tottenham players on a weekly basis? It’s questionable.
He can be a very prolific forward and if AVB’s keen on Hulk, it will be interesting to see how far the club are willing to go to get him.
