Some eyebrows were raised when a report claimed West Ham United boss David Moyes was due to attend the England rugby team’s training camp this week.
The Guardian stated that Moyes and his assistant Stuart Pearce would attend training at Bagshot before sitting down for a Q&A session four days before Jones takes his side to Murrayfield.
Jones has spoken recently of his admiration for how Moyes has set about rebuilding his career at West Ham following turbulent periods in charge of Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland after he had established his reputation at Everton.
He has done just that, taking over a Hammers side in the relegation zone with just nine points and elevating them up to midtable on 30 points with 11 games to go.
The story raised a few eyebrows among concerned fans given the side have a daunting game against free-scoring Liverpool at Anfield this Saturday.
And while Pearce attended the session, West Ham have left fans in no doubt over Moyes’ commitment to the cause by posting a picture of the Scot looking fearsome and barking out orders in training.
The Tweet simply said ‘The boss’ and showed Moyes taking a lead in training as the Hammers gear up for the trip to face Jurgen Klopp’s side.
