Rangers boss was caught out this week after a video emerged of him praising Celtic.
Pedro Caixinha scored an own goal yesterday before his reign as Rangers boss had even began after a video emerged of him praising Celtic.
It was taken in 2015 while manager of Santos Laguna, the Mexican side with ties to Celtic, and he wished the Scottish giants well for their title success.
The Scottish Sun reported how Caixinha praised his ‘Celtic brothers’, a phrase which may be one he finds tough to live down.
Celtic supporters have been having a bit of fun with it, mocking up a picture of the Portuguese boss with the club badge tattooed on his arm.
Caixinha is expected to be announced as Rangers boss imminently, SkySports reported this week.
He has been managing Qatari club Al Gharafa, but has long hoped for the opportunity to manage in Britain.
Expect him to maybe field a question or two at his introductory press conference about his message to Rangers’ bitter rivals.
